Dr. Suhas Herlekar
B.A.M.S., M.S. (Stree Rog Prasutitantra)

Dr. Suhas Herlekar is a distinguished Ayurvedic Gynecologist and Obstetrician with over 28 years of dedicated experience in women's health, natural childbirth, and holistic gynecological care. He has served as Professor and Head of the Department of Stree Rog and Prasutitantra, as well as Vice Principal and Deputy Superintendent at a reputed Ayurvedic college and hospital in Pune. Dr. Herlekar also held the esteemed position of President of the Pune Ayurvedic Gynecology and Obstetrics Society.

Expanding his global presence, Dr. Herlekar worked as an Ayurvedic Consultant in Poland, where he promoted the international reach of Ayurvedic women’s healthcare. He further sharpened his surgical skills by completing the “Core Skills in Laparoscopic Surgery” certificate course at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital.

Dr. Herlekar has presented numerous academic papers on vital topics such as Uttar Basti, Sthanik Chikitsa, Direct Trocar Puncture, Instrumentation in Uttar Basti, Yoni Vyapti, and Ayurvedic approaches to infertility. A dedicated academician, he is a recognized postgraduate guide under the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), mentoring future Ayurvedic gynecologists.

He has held key teaching positions at prestigious institutions including Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, and has also served as Honorary Gynecologist at Tarachand Ramanath Hospital. His excellence in clinical care and teaching has earned him multiple accolades, including the “Best Ayurveda Gynecologist & Obstetrician Award” presented by the Honorable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

Dr. Laxmikant Kortikar
B.A.M.S., M.D. (Kayachikitsa)

Dr. Laxmikant Vinayak Kortikar is a renowned Ayurvedic physician from Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, with over 32 years of clinical experience in internal medicine. A BAMS gold medalist, he earned his M.D. in Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine) with top honors and later completed a Ph.D. in Ayurveda.

A certified yoga teacher, Dr. Kortikar blends classical Ayurvedic therapies with modern wellness practices in his clinical work at Shri Swami Samartha Ayurved Chikitsalaya, located in the Dilli Gate area of Ahmednagar.

He has presented more than 60 research papers at national and international conferences and is the author of five influential Ayurvedic books. His pioneering research in Beejashuddhi (preconceptional purification) has earned wide recognition in Ayurvedic circles.

Dr. Kortikar is a founding member of the Ayurveda Vyaspith and currently serves on the Western Maharashtra Executive Committee, contributing significantly to the growth and modernization of Ayurvedic science.

Dr. Vishnu Bawane
B.A.M.S., M.D. (Prasutitantra-Striroga), Ph.D., EMBA (Healthcare & Clinical Research), D.Y.A., PGDCR

Dr. Vishnu Chandrakant Bawane is a distinguished Ayurvedic physician, academician, and researcher with specialization in Prasutitantra-Striroga (Ayurvedic Obstetrics and Gynecology). He holds a B.A.M.S., M.D. in Ayurveda, Ph.D., Executive MBA in Healthcare & Clinical Research, Diploma in Yoga (D.Y.A.), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research (PGDCR). Currently, he serves as a professor at B.R. Harne Ayurvedic Medical College in Thane, Maharashtra.

Dr. Bawane has been recognized with multiple prestigious accolades for his contributions to Ayurvedic science. These include the International Excellence Award in Malaysia for his groundbreaking research, the Vagbhata Award for excellence in teaching (Las Vegas), the Young Research Scientist Award in Dubai for his work on Bahyopachar (external therapies), and the NIMA Bhushan Award in Pune (2022).

A prolific author, Dr. Bawane has published over 20 research articles in indexed journals and authored several textbooks and reference books. His notable works include Management of Asthenozoospermia with Ayurveda (2011), A Textbook of Research Methodology (For MD/MS & Ph.D) (2023), and an upcoming publication on the National Teacher Eligibility Test (NTET), scheduled for release in July 2024.

In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Bawane is the Editor-in-Chief of the Ayuscript International Journal and serves as the Executive Editor of the International Journal of Indian Medicine (UM), actively shaping the discourse in modern Ayurvedic scholarship.

Dr. Mangesh Patil
B.A.M.S., M.D. (Ayurveda – Gynecology & Obstetrics)

Dr. Mangesh Laxman Patil is a highly respected Ayurvedic gynecologist and physician with over 15 years of expertise in Panchakarma, infertility management, and gynecological disorders. He earned his B.A.M.S. and M.D. in Ayurveda with top academic honors in surgery and gynecology & obstetrics from Mumbai University.

Since 2000, Dr. Patil has held several academic and administrative positions, including Associate Professor, Deputy Medical Superintendent, and postgraduate guide at Tersla Medical Trust Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital. He is the Director of Shree Manolakshya Ayurveda Panchakarma & Rejuvenation Centre and a consulting physician at Charak Health Centre, Panvel.

An active contributor to Ayurvedic research, Dr. Patil collaborates with leading pharmaceutical companies in the areas of clinical research, drug formulation, and ethical protocol review. He is a Ph.D. guide, examiner, and paper setter for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Ayurvedic gynecology.

Dr. Patil’s commitment to Ayurvedic education and public health is reflected in his numerous lectures, clinical trials, and community medical camps, furthering the reach and impact of holistic women's healthcare through Ayurveda.
